Dane and Jvon acquired House of Window Coverings in Spring of 2018. While window coverings are new to Dane and Jvon, owning and operating a business is not. Which included a full factory and four retail locations. Previous to taking the plunge into business ownership Dane was an elementary school principal and Jvon was a high school counselor. On most days you can find Dane out on design consultations, working in the showroom, helping on installs, and organizing the warehouse. Jvon can be found in the office working with commercial accounts, marketing, bookkeeping, and following up with customers.
In their off time they enjoy spending time with their three adult children, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
Christopher established House of Window Coverings in 2007 after being in the window coverings industry for over 7 years. Working for other window covering companies’ led to the realization that there were many areas that needed improvement in the industry. He worked for 3-Day Blinds in 2001 to 2004 and 3 Blind Mice in 2004 to 2007. At both companies Christopher held upper management positions, seeing that the industry lacked customer service and place for consumers to have a one-stop shop for high quality window coverings and home design lead to the birth of House of Window Coverings.
Christopher started his career in 1996 as the Territory Manager for Calvin Klein. Working at Calvin Klein taught him the importance of customer service while at the same time fulfilling his passion for design. He left Calvin Klein in 1999 and accepted a position at the “Happiest Place On Earth,” Disneyland. Christopher held the position of Complex Manager of The World of Disney; this is the largest retail store at Disneyland with over 300 employees. Managing such a large staff within such a large corporation taught Christopher the ability to manage a large number of employees while maintaining a very high standard of customer service. These skills are utilized every single day at House of Window Coverings. Since opening in 2007 House of Window Coverings has surpassed many window covering and design companies in Las Vegas, not only in sales but also awards.
Christopher was raised in Huntington Beach, California and attended Orange Coast Community College in California, where he majored in General Education and Business. His areas of expertise are in Account Management, Business Development, Team leadership, Sales Management, Strategic Planning, Advertising and Marketing, Brand Awareness/Development, Sales Closings and Techniques, Up Selling/Consultative Selling, and Interior/Home Design.
Christopher has resided in Las Vegas for 17 years and enjoys spending his free time with his son Oliver and working out.
